Within the creamy layers, you'll discover unexpected fruity notes. While this is unconventional for tiramisu, it showcases a clever twist. During the season of abundant forest fruits, there's a natural inclination to find creative ways to incorporate them, and this recipe is a perfect example.

Berry tiramisu: A delicious way to enjoy forest fruits

Making berry tiramisu is a fantastic way to bring the vibrant flavors of forest fruits into your kitchen. The sweetness of the dessert is wonderfully balanced by the tangy addition of slightly sour blueberries or blackberries. Even Italians, who tend to be traditionalists about their cuisine, have embraced tiramisu with forest fruits. The recipe comes from Marco Ghia, a Milan native, Italian cuisine expert, and head of the Whirlpool Culinary Academy.

Forest fruits are a delightful seasonal treat. Blueberries, also known as huckleberries, are particularly beloved. One of the greatest benefits of forest fruits is that they grow far from busy roads and industrial areas. This makes them delicious, healthy, and less exposed to pollutants. Taking full advantage of them while they're in season is essential.
