Berlin tragedy: Heroic father dies saving wife's life
Just before Christmas, a family tragedy occurred in Berlin. A husband died while trying to save his wife's life. Four children witnessed the dramatic events, reports the German "Bild."
On December 22, dramatic events unfolded in Berlin. A 45-year-old woman lost consciousness in her apartment. Her husband immediately began resuscitation and simultaneously asked the children to call for an ambulance.
Unfortunately, while saving his wife, the man suffered a heart attack and died before the rescuers arrived.
The wife, who was successfully saved, was transported to the hospital. Her condition is critical but stable. As reported by "Bild," the woman's fainting spell could have been caused by a brain aneurysm.
Family tragedy: The oldest siblings took care of the younger ones
The entire incident took place in front of four children aged 11 to 17.
The family has two more children who live outside the home. They immediately took care of their younger siblings after the tragedy. Witnesses describe the children as being in deep shock, unable to believe what had happened.
