Bentley's rare Mulsanne shooting brake up for auction
The Mulsanne "Shooting Brake" only saw 12 models produced. Perhaps it's just as well that no more were made...
An extremely luxurious station wagon is a very rare breed. It's no wonder, as this type of bodywork isn't usually associated with splendor. However, there are exceptions, and the model presented here is one of them.
This is the Bentley Mulsanne Turbo "Shooting Brake," created by the British workshop Coway, which specializes in building and modifying custom bodywork. In the 1980s, Coway produced 12 Mulsanne models with station wagon bodies based on the standard sedan.
The aesthetics of this project are highly debatable, but one cannot deny its uniqueness. The peculiar character is further enhanced by its yellow-brown paint, which is sure to catch the eye of any passerby.
Aside from the drawbacks, the obvious advantage of the 6.75-liter V8 engine under the hood is worth mentioning. It produces 385 HP and works with an automatic transmission.
The car has been put up for auction on Collecting Cars. Due to its unique character, it will likely find a new owner easily.
