Belgium teams up with Ukraine for post-war defense ventures
Belgian defense companies are establishing cooperation with Ukrainian partners, planning joint production intended to last beyond the current armed conflict. The Ukrainian defense industry has shown resilience and the ability to develop advanced technologies, reports "Pravda".
Belgian enterprises in the defense sector are strengthening relationships with Ukrainian companies, aiming for joint weapons production.
According to "Pravda", the Belgian ambassador to Ukraine, Luc Jacobs, emphasized that Belgian companies are already signing contracts with Ukrainian partners, and some are in advanced stages of preparing for cooperation.
Jacobs noted that in some cases, the goal is to create joint ventures with a perspective that extends beyond the current war.
The Ukrainian defense industry has demonstrated resilience and the ability to develop advanced technologies, making it a valuable partner for Belgium.
Additionally, Belgium has taken patronage over Kyiv and the Kyiv region, as well as Chernihiv and the Chernihiv region. It plans to allocate approximately 160 million U.S. dollars for the reconstruction of social and energy infrastructure, reports "Pravda".
