Bailee Madison has graced both the small and big screens since early childhood. She's now captivating audiences as Imogen Adams in "Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin," a new chapter in the beloved television series created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Fans were recently buzzed when Madison shared a photo of herself looking blood-drenched.

This production picks up the legacy of the original series, which began in 2010 and enjoyed a successful seven-year run. The story initially unfolded with the mysterious disappearance of Alison, leading her friends to face torment from the enigmatic "A." Originating from Sara Shepard's novels, this narrative extended into a mini-universe comprising "Ravenswood," "Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists," and the latest, "Original Sin."

Set 20 years after the eerie incidents in Millwood, "Original Sin" transitions the storyline to a younger generation, burdened with their misdeeds and those of their forebears. The series, which premiered in 2022, is set to air its second season soon, as Madison's recent post hinted at.

Bailee Madison teases the new season with a shocking image

On Instagram, Madison shared two photos of herself in a blood-soaked appearance. In the first, she's elegantly dressed and sitting cross-legged on the floor, engrossed in her phone. In the second, she offers the camera a bloody, smiling face.

Labelling the post simply as "loading" with an underlined "A" and tagging the series' official profile, Madison cleverly hints at the upcoming season's promotional campaign. A freshly released trailer offers glimpses into the storyline, introducing Annabeth Gish of "The Fall of the House of Usher" fame, reprising her role as a therapist from the original series.

Gish's character, Dr. Anne Sullivan, will both aid and remind the protagonists of their need to complete summer school for progression. Despite assuming summer jobs, the characters sense the looming threat of a new villain, distinct yet as menacing as "A," determined to challenge and judge them.

What to expect in Season 2 of "Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin"

Helmed by creators Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa of "Riverdale" fame and Lindsay Calhoon Bring from "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina," the second season promises the return of Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, Maia Reficco, Mallory Bechtel, Sharon Leal, Alex Aiono, Jordan Gonzalez, and Elias Kacavas to the screen. Fans can mark their calendars for the premiere on Friday, May 10th, on HBO Max, with the first season already accessible on HBO Max and Player.
