Ranging from various ailments, back pain is symptomatic, and in the absence of a comprehensive medical history, it may be challenging to arrive at a definitive diagnosis. Such health issues are typically associated with disorders of the muscular and skeletal systems. They can emerge from conditions such as osteoporosis, discopathy, metabolic bone disorders, and inflammation within our bodies. Our expert suggests that other potential causes include kidney issues, heart disease, and even cancer.

Back pain often arises in patients with prostate cancer that has spread to other areas of the body, implying that the disease is in its advanced stages. Alternatively, suppose we're dealing with a dissection of the thoracic aorta. In that case, we may experience sharp and intense pain radiating between the shoulder blades - an emergency that requires swift medical intervention.

On the other hand, abdominal pain that extends to the back could indicate an inflamed pancreas or stomach and duodenal ulcer disease. It's critical not to ignore any of the illnesses mentioned above, especially if symptoms persist, increase in severity, suddenly appear with no apparent cause, or are not related to any mechanical injury.
