"Baba Yaga" strikes again. Russians lose equipment

Does Baba Yaga really exist? Yes, and she's battling on the Ukrainian front against Russia. "Baba Yaga" is the codename of the drone used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is markedly feared among the occupiers. The Russians recently lost their drone in a bold attack on "Baba Yaga", who proved to be more clever.

Scenarios like these are characteristic of the Ukrainian-Russian war and the conflict unfolding in the 21st century. In the Kherson region, there was a battle between two drones, with the Ukrainian side triumphing. The Russians had attempted to attack the legendary "Baba Yaga" with a "Mavic" equipped with a thermal camera, but they were unsuccessful.

The alertness and shrewdness of operators in Ukraine's Armed Forces were vital. They promptly perceived the impending threat and preemptively attacked with notable efficacy. The Russian drone was shot down by the now-legendary "Baba Yaga", resulting in the destruction and loss of necessary equipment at the frontlines.

The enemy breathed a sigh of relief this time, as "Baba Yaga" didn't abduct any Russians. So, what's this all about?

There are myriad legends in Vladimir Putin's army about "Baba Yaga" and the fate of Russian soldiers that fall into its clutches. The drone is reputed to be so large and efficient that it could lift wounded soldiers from the battlefield and whisk them away into oblivion. While these tales are untrue, Ukrainians themselves propagate such fabricated stories as psychological warfare.

The fact is that it is a highly efficient machine, which the occupiers are struggling to counter. They resort to using machines that leverage infrared capabilities, but these fall short when facing larger, heavier drones. This was the destiny of the "Mavic" featured in the video, which collided with a Ukrainian machine and was permanently neutralized.

Ukrainian operators, unafraid to berate the enemy, made no attempt to hide their satisfaction over this victory. They emerged victorious from this drone duel without much difficulty.

So, what exactly is the Ukrainian combat drone called "Baba Yaga"?

The machine's moniker is aptly chosen; the drone is not only intimidating but also appears unpredictably and leaves devastation in its wake. It mirrors Baba Yaga from Slavic folk tales. This is the most substantial and lethal drone in the Ukrainian army, capable of carrying up to six anti-tank grenades.

This makes it ideally suited for the destruction of tanks, armored vehicles, and other enemy equipment. The Russians downed a "Baba Yaga" in the spring and displayed its remnants. Ukrainians reportedly do not deploy these machines on standard missions, relying on them only as a last resort and under optimal weather conditions.
