Excess sugar is a direct path to inflammation

Food rich in simple sugars has a pro-inflammatory effect. They are found in sweets like candy bars, cookies, chocolates, and lollipops and in white bread, breakfast cereals, prepared sandwiches, meat marinades, and sauces. Consuming such products causes a rapid increase in blood sugar levels, followed by a quick drop. Excluding them from the diet will show noticeable benefits in a short time.

This list includes sugar, sucrose, and high fructose corn syrup. Scientists confirm their harmful effects. According to research published in the "American Journal of Clinical Nutrition," high glycemic index products (those that contain a lot of simple sugars) cause inflammation.

It is also necessary to avoid low-quality meat products and highly processed foods. Hot dogs, canned foods, pâtés, meat dumplings, and burgers made from mechanically separated meat lack nutritional value and are the worst choices for our diet.

These are particularly harmful to children. Research conducted by the University of California confirms that such products can cause inflammation. Additionally, red meat contains arachidonic acid, which contributes to these issues. The list of potential health problems is indeed very long.

Fat can also cause health problems

It is also worth giving up hardened vegetable fats, known as trans fats. Importantly, they not only cause inflammation. These fats can also lead to diabetes, cancer, atherosclerosis, heart diseases, and circulatory system problems.

In which products can we find trans fats? Mainly in popular margarines and fat blends used for spreading on sandwiches. We also find them in salty snacks, hamburgers, ready meals, and instant noodles.
