Determining the cause of Matthew Perry's death

The medical report indicated that high levels of ketamine in post-mortem blood samples contributed to excessive stimulation of the circulatory system and respiratory depression. Perry was known to use ketamine as a part of his treatment for depression and anxiety disorders.

The report also revealed that Perry underwent his last medical treatment 1.5 weeks before his death. If he had used the drug at that time, it should not have been detectable in his body on the day he died.

Matthew Perry was found dead on October 28. No drugs or evidence suggesting criminal activity were found at the scene of his death.

Matthew Perry gained worldwide recognition for his portrayal of Chandler Bing on the hit TV series "Friends," which ran from 1994 to 2004. He also graced the big screen in films such as "Fools Rush In" and "Three to Tango," and earned a Golden Globe nomination for his work.

In 2021, Perry released an autobiography titled "Friends, Lovers and that Big Terrible Thing," which quickly achieved best-seller status. In this book, the actor candidly discussed not only his career but also his struggles with alcohol and painkiller abuse.
