Two families had been enjoying an extended weekend together when the unfortunate incident happened in the beer garden where they were unwinding. The BMW rushed into the crowd, killing several people instantly.

One witness described that the white BMW SUV hurtled at high speed across the lawn and into the hotel beer garden crowded with guests.

One of the victims, an 11-year-old named Vihaan, died on the spot as a result of the accident. While at the pub, the boy sent a message to his friend asking what was happening and requested to chat.

His friend responded to the text only a few minutes after the crash. The response reached the phone of the late boy's mother.

The driver failed to maneuver a sharp right turn and hit the curb, crashing into dozens of people in the pub. The 67-year-old driver, who lives nearby, displayed glazed eyes at the time of the accident, as per witnesses. He has been taken into police custody, who are investigating whether the accident was intentional or the result of him losing control over his vehicle.

The accident resulted in four immediate deaths, with a fifth person succumbing to their injuries at the hospital later.
