Aston Martin unveils valiant: A retro powerhouse inspired by F1
The British continue to develop a line of models inspired by retro style. First, the Valour debuted, and now the Valiant joins—sharper, more track-oriented, yet still road-legal.

Valiant is essentially a beefed-up and more refined version of Valour. Stylistically, it draws inspiration from the '70s and '80s. Power-wise, however, it is a thoroughly modern vehicle. Under the long hood lies a twin-turbo V12, generating up to 730 HP.
Representatives of Aston Martin claim that no one other than Fernando Alonso himself—the driver of the Aston Martin F1 Racing team—encouraged them to create the Valiant. As you can see, the master's requests were heard.
The Valiant stands out due to its refined aerodynamics and powerful engine. The splitter, side skirts, and large spoiler form a cohesive whole with the fenders and are particularly impressive. The 21-inch magnesium wheels, hiding a set of efficient ceramic brakes, complete the look.
Although Aston Martin does not boast about the vehicle's weight, it assures us that it is surprisingly light. This is primarily thanks to the extensive use of composites and titanium, which, combined with adaptive, adjustable suspension, is supposed to ensure agility and speed in all conditions.
Speed will also be primarily ensured by the 5.2-liter V12 generating 740 HP—over 30 more than in the Valour model. To top it off, a 6-speed manual transmission transfers the power to the rear wheels.
Bucket seats with harness belts, a large three-spoke steering wheel, and aluminum pedals will be helpful to tame and feel this beast. The metal gear shifter with a visible mechanism also looks excellent.
Aston Martin intends to create only 38 units of the Valiant. Each is expected to cost around 2 million pounds ($2.45 million).
