The Assassin's Creed brand is set to flood the market. Ubisoft still sees potential in this series, and we don't have to look far for examples, as Assassin's Creed Mirage, an attempt to return to its roots, saw the light of day in early October. However, let's focus on the upcoming releases.
Some pretty interesting things are happening here, but the key point was a mention of Mirage. A YouTuber by the name of Sliderv2 shows a quite intriguing discovery. He was able to find unused video material in the Mirage files, mysteriously titled "AC Neo Tease".
This leak changes everything
AC Neo is simply another code name for Assassin's Creed: Hexe - it's the first piece of the puzzle. In the published recording, we hear a conversation between the staff responsible for the Animus, a special machine created by Abstergo, that allows them to read the past. It's noteworthy how the conversation participants refer to the character of William Miles ("Did you skip the history seminars?") as if his existence was in the distant past, yet he is a contemporary character.
Therefore, the logical conclusion is that the speakers come from the future. As if that weren't enough, William Miles is referred to as "one of the last before the Great Change". The same "Great Change" occurred - according to the discussion - in the 21st century, which was called "ancient history". Apparently, some kind of revolution took place, something that can be referred to as the "Black Swan."
What is Ubisoft planning?
Netizens are speculating. There are those who claim that this record is irrelevant. Others speculate about what this "Great Change" is. Are Assassins making peace with the Templars? Who knows, one can let their imagination run wild. The truth is that the so-called modern thread in the Assassin's Creed series has exhausted its formula and potential according to many players. Perhaps Ubisoft, in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe, will do a "reset" of this modern thread through a more futuristic creation?
Premiere of Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe
All will be revealed when Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe finally debuts. We don't know the exact release date, but we do know that the game will be "entirely different from all previous installments of the series". According to rumors, the game is set in 16th century Europe and focuses on witch hunts.
