Art meets motorization: Acclaimed artist Paolo Troilo paints unique Lamborghini and Ducati masterpiece
While melding art and motorization may pose challenges, it's perfectly achievable, as demonstrated by BMW with its Art Car series. The latest project involved both a car and a motorcycle, both now housed in private collections. The journey began with the Lamborghini Huracán EVO which, in 2021, became the canvas for Paolo Troilo's painting aptly titled "Minotauro". The artist is famed for his distinctive technique of hyper-realistic finger painting, a unique method.
The subsequent piece of this intriguing puzzle saw the introduction of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini - the second motorcycle born from the collaboration between these two prestigious Italian brands, following the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini. This powerful, stripped-down bike is produced in a limited edition of 693 units, with 63 exclusively reserved for Lamborghini car owners.
One of these customers opted to make his unit even more exceptional, ensuring it matches his Lamborghini. He commissioned Paolo Troilo to create an artwork on the bike, culminating in the "Centauro" masterpiece, using the Streetfighter V4 as the "canvas".
This special project was unveiled at the "Art of Creating Myths" event, an exclusive gathering of 200 Ducati and Lamborghini guests. The event was graced by the presence of the CEOs of both companies, Claudio Domenicali and Stephan Winkelmann. Meanwhile, the owner of the two artistic vehicles not only takes pleasure in owning these one-of-a-kind machines but also appreciates them as unique pieces of art.
