Arnica ointment has long been used as an effective remedy for bruises and muscle pain, as well as to alleviate swelling, contusions, and minor injuries. It is based on mountain arnica, a plant rich in active ingredients. It also contains helenalin, a substance with strong anti-inflammatory properties, flavonoids, essential oils, and tannins, which support skin regeneration.

Arnica ointment has versatile effects worth having at home

Arnica ointment is made from mountain arnica, a plant characterized by its yellow flowers with medicinal properties. Thanks to the mentioned ingredients, arnica ointment strengthens capillaries and has anti-inflammatory effects, particularly useful in cases of rheumatoid arthritis.

Having such a versatile product at home allows for a quick response in case of bruises, contusions, or insect bites. It reduces swelling and pain in cases of dislocations and sprains. It can be applied up to four times daily on the affected areas, remembering not to exceed the recommended dose. However, it should be avoided on open wounds and blisters.

Application of arnica ointment in skin care

Arnica ointment varies in cost at the pharmacy from a few to several dollars. It's worth knowing that it is a remedy for injuries and a great cosmetic for skin care. It has a wide range of applications because, on one hand, it helps in the fight against acne, and on the other hand, it successfully brightens dark circles under the eyes. But that's not all.

Helenalin in the ointment helps strengthen blood vessels, making the ointment ideal for fighting visible broken capillaries and facial redness. Thanks to its antibacterial and antiseptic properties, it effectively alleviates skin eruptions and accelerates the wound healing process.
