Years ago, Armie Hammer was accused of rape, psychological abuse, and mistreatment of his lovers. Women decided to break their silence and described the hell they allegedly went through. "I am 100% a cannibal. I want to eat you," "You're my slave. I'll cut off your finger," were among the messages published. He fantasized about rape and mutilating his partners. He quickly lost all his professional contracts, and Hollywood ostracized him. Recently, he broke his silence and started giving interviews. In one, he admitted that he is completely broke and unable to find a normal job.
Armie Hammer's mother comments on the accusations
"I earned a lot. I drank a lot. I often took drugs. I partied hard. I didn't care what I wrote in text messages. I engaged in risky behaviors which, when you think about them, were really stupid," Hammer said in a recent interview.
You can now find out what his mother, Dru Hammer, thinks about the whole situation. The woman is promoting her autobiographical book "Hammered," in which she reveals the behind-the-scenes life of the Hammer dynasty, billionaires, and industrial magnates. Dru is a devout Catholic. In an interview with Fox News, she repeatedly emphasized that she prays for her son and believes that for people like him - despite many accusations - there is no place in hell.
The actor's mother confessed, "My son was a loving, perfect man, but every heart can be broken at some time. His was shattered when he was 14 years old. I take responsibility for that (...). When someone harms your child, you must act," she said, adding that Armie Hammer was sexually abused by a young pastor when he was a teenager. "I pray to turn back time and go to therapy with my husband because he too was abused," she confessed.
"When he entered Hollywood, he started taking drugs and drinking. Today, I am thankful that he has been sober for four years and is slowly returning to Jesus," says Dru.
In 2020, Hammer divorced his wife. Shortly thereafter, stories began to emerge about his lovers and former partners. One of them, Paige Lorenze, told Fox News about how the actor fantasized about eating parts of her body. "He talked about finding a doctor who would remove my ribs that aren't necessary. The ones at the bottom, and that he would bake them," she said. Another woman said outright, "He is a rapist and society cannot forgive rapes. He is a depraved, sick man."
In 2023, the Los Angeles district attorney dismissed the charges against Hammer, noting that his relationships with women were so complex that after years it is impossible to determine whether the actor forced sexual contact or not. He himself did not admit to sexual violence but confirmed that he emotionally mistreated women.
"These girls were at my home. One spent Thanksgiving with us. They were madly in love with my son. Armie takes full responsibility for these situations. But he says he didn't hurt anyone (...) They acted like puppies around him. I think they saw him as The One, and he considered them suitable women, but only for a while. Because he was broken," recalls the mother of the former star.
"But when I read that my son is a cannibal, I called him and asked: Armie, does any of these girls have a rib missing? Did I miss something?" said Dru. "It was incomprehensible that someone thought he could eat people. I also sometimes say that I would eat a sweet baby, but that doesn't mean I eat children," she added.
