Argentine president Milei deletes photo with Ukraine's Zelensky

The President of Argentina, Javier Milei, updated his account on platform X. After Friday's incident at the White House, the Argentine president deemed it necessary to remove a photograph from his social media that linked him with President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.

The photo of the President of Argentina, Javier Milei, and Volodymyr Zelensky disappeared from the Argentine's account on the X platform.

In the photograph, the Argentine president stands alongside the Ukrainian president. Both leaders display a hopeful gesture.

The meeting occurred in December 2023, marking President Volodymyr Zelensky's first trip to South America since Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine. He participated in the inauguration of Javier Milei, who was elected to the presidential office.

The President of Argentina does not want this photo. He removed it from the social media platform

This is likely when the photograph was taken. Both leaders clearly suggest that everything will turn out well, evidenced by their thumbs-up.

The President of Argentina may no longer see it that way. Since January, it has been known that he is significantly influenced by Donald Trump. He is considering mimicking moves of the US president, whom he admires.

Argentina might leave the WHO and withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement. At the end of January, the Argentine biweekly "Perfil" reported on its website, citing sources from Milei's office, that the government plans to "take advantage of the momentum given by Trump's victory" in the US elections to "regain sovereignty."

The photo with Zelensky disappeared from Milei's account after Friday's misunderstanding in the Oval Office. Javier Milei refused to comment on his decision.

This is not the first time the President of Argentina has had to make swift corrections, with actions that will remain on the internet indefinitely. In February, he published a post on platform X, encouraging investments in a newly created "Libra" token.

The value of the cryptocurrency quickly rose and then began to plummet. Investors who trusted the Argentine president collectively lost nearly 100 million dollars. At that time, Milei promptly removed the post, but the scandal surrounding the "Libra" token damaged his image.
