A Canadian player exhibited scandalous behavior during the Copa America semifinal match between Argentina and Canada. The recording made its way online and went viral. However, this wasn't the only "attraction" from this situation.

In Europe, the Euro is ongoing, and in America, the Copa America is too. Both soccer tournaments are entering their decisive phases. In the first semifinal of the competition held on American fields, Argentina eliminated Canada by winning 2-0 with goals by Leo Messi and Julian Alvarez. In the final, the Albicelestes will face the winner of the Uruguay-Colombia match.

However, the match result wasn't the most popular topic on social media. The incident in the 79th minute of the game, when Lionel Scaloni's team player Rodrigo de Paul fell on the field allegedly after a clash with an opponent, was much more frequently commented on and criticized.

Why allegedly? From the published recording, it appears Stephen Eustaquio, who was trying to take the ball from him with a slide tackle, didn't even touch his legs, yet he still ended up on the ground. The video circulated online, and the Atletico Madrid midfielder has become one of the most criticized players in the last 24 hours.

Canadian player kicked the ball at a lying Argentinian

The story doesn't end with the situation mentioned above. When Rodrigo de Paul was on the ground, writhing in pain after a collision with... the ground, one of the Canadian players outshined his "performance" but did so in a manner unworthy of a soccer spectacle.

The central midfielder on Jesse Marsch's team, Ismael Kone, received the ball next to the lying Argentinian and then kicked it into his back. He was sanctioned with a yellow card for his behavior, although the opposing team suggested he should be sent off. On the X platform, a recording is circulating that has already been watched by nearly six million users.
