"Arcane", the animated narrative of two sisters from the iconic game "League of Legends", has been greenlit for the second run. The show's creators revealed this news through Instagram. The confirmation came in a clip shared on the ArcaneShow account, featuring Jinx, one of the two protagonists, walking towards a bridge, symbolizing that "Arcane" is set to return.
When is the second season of "Arcane" scheduled to air?
Riot Games timestamped the video that announced the second season of "Arcane" with "November 2024". This means the fans of the post-punk-themed series will need to wait for another year before the story resumes. Initially, followers of the story revolving around Jinx, Vi, Ekko, Caitlyn, Viktor, and Jayce predicted the second season would premiere in mid-2023, but the producers cleared the air on this speculation.
- I've just screened the third episode of the second season. We are making headway, but the show is not ready for release yet, and there are two reasons why. First, we know you expect high quality from us, and we refuse to compromise on that. Second, we didn't anticipate that the first season would be so successful, and therefore didn't begin working on the next one immediately. We could be further along creatively, but we chose to wait. Hence, we're now dealing with the consequences. The second season won't air this year - Nicolo Laurent, CEO of Riot Games, shared in an interview with the Chinese service "Bilibili".
