Recipe for delicious apple kisses

Ingredients:

  • 9 oz all-purpose flour
  • 9 oz full-fat cottage cheese
  • 9 oz cold butter
  • 2-3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 2 medium apples
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt

Preparation:

  1. Prepare the dough: Cut cold butter into cubes and add to sifted flour with salt. Quickly knead the dough, adding cottage cheese and powdered sugar. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the apples: Peel and core the apples, then slice them thinly. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon.
  3. Form the cookies: Roll out the chilled dough to about 1/5 inch thick. Cut out circles, place apple slices on half of them, and seal the edges.
  4. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake the cookies for about 20-25 minutes until they are golden brown.

Tips:

  • Cottage cheese: It's best to use ground cottage cheese for a more delicate dough.
  • Apples: Choose sweet and juicy varieties like Swiss or Ligol.
  • Sugar: You can adjust the amount of sugar to your preference. If you like sweeter cookies, add more powdered sugar.
  • Spices: Besides cinnamon, you can add other spices to the dough, such as nutmeg, cardamom, or ginger.
