Anya Taylor-Joy swaps MET Gala for Mexico in unforgettable style

Anya Taylor-Joy was notably absent from this year's MET Gala, where the biggest stars display their most extravagant outfits. Instead, she was in Mexico promoting her latest movie, "Furiosa." There, she also made a statement with an avant-garde outfit that made sitting down impossible.

A 28-year-old wowed the crowd at St. Regis Hotel in Mexico City, where a promotional event for the movie "Furiosa: Saga Mad Max" occurred. We will see her on the screen in a post-apocalyptic setting, but she opted for a completely different style in Mexico.

During the event, Anya Taylor-Joy appeared in two different outfits. Which one do you like more?

First, Taylor-Joy wore a silver minidress made of metal. It was a custom-made piece by the French fashion house Balmain. The perfectly fitted creation included dozens of metallic flowers attached in various places.

The metallic mini comprised two "shells" fastened together with snaps. In one behind-the-scenes video, you can see assistants riveting the actress into this unusual armor. And although the creation did not hinder walking in heels, sitting down was out of the question.

Fortunately, Taylor-Joy didn't have to parade in "armor" all evening. After the photo session, she jumped into a much more comfortable outfit made of white leather. The extravagant set consisted of a skirt with a zipper in the front and a cropped bolero with rounded shoulder pads.
