As reported by the "Ukrainian Truth" portal, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed an impressive number of invaders and enemy equipment in one day. Vladimir Putin's army on Thursday (October 19) lost nearly 1,400 soldiers. The Russians suffered the greatest losses towards Avdiivka, where fierce battles are taking place.

Vladimir Putin's army, which attacked Ukrainian territory on February 24, 2022, continues to suffer significant losses in the war against Ukraine. In just the last day (October 19), the Ukrainians destroyed 1380 invaders, 55 enemy tanks, and 120 artillery systems. The Russians suffered the greatest losses towards Avdiivka.

This is the direction in which very serious battles are taking place. As reported by Ukrainian media, drones prove to be very effective in defending Avdiivka from Russians and in destroying enemy equipment.

Let's recall that the Russians decided to launch a mass assault from the south and north on October 10th, with the objective of cutting off the main supply routes for Ukrainian defenders stationed in Avdiivka.

In the north, the Russians made some progress, but despite many attempts, they did not reach the key railway line for the city, and did not capture the mining heap rising above the city.

According to a report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to October 20, 2023, were approximately: over 292 thousand soldiers, 5 thousand tanks, 9500 armored vehicles, 7 thousand artillery systems, and over 600 airplanes and helicopters.

New weapon in the hands of Ukrainians

The lethal MGM-140 ATACMS ground-to-ground missile systems have finally reached the frontline. American missiles are now tormenting targets as far as 99 miles away, which automatically decreases the safety of Russian bases on occupied territories of Ukraine near the Russian border.
