Once again, the Anonymous group is directly addressing Elon Musk. This time, however, their message stands in stark difference to previous approaches. Instead of criticizing the billionaire's actions, they are issuing a plea for the residents of the Gaza Strip.

From one of their accounts on Platform X (formerly Twitter), which is currently under Elon Musk's ownership, Anonymous is drawing attention to the distressing situation in the Gaza Strip. They claim, "The people of Gaza are living in utter darkness, cut off from Israel, without internet access, and isolated from the globe. Numerous Palestinians, although not supportive of Hamas, suffer from the collective punishment imposed by Israel."

Anonymous's appeal to Elon Musk

The group of activists is far from indifferent to the sufferings of these individuals, having frequently intervened in regions beset by conflict. This is evidenced by Anonymous's support for Ukraine during its war with Russia, and their backing of Iranian women during the protests that followed the tragic death of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman. Amini fell into a coma following a brutal arrest by Iranian religious police for not wearing a hijab, and tragically succumbed.

Anonymous is now bringing their request directly to Elon Musk. They posted on Platform X, "We are appealing to Elon, requesting that he provides the people of Gaza with internet access, allowing them to report the unfolding horrors and to communicate with their relatives across the world, confirming that they are indeed alive". In doing so, they target the billionaire's sense of empathy.

Anonymous is urging Elon Musk to demonstrate his humanity as evidenced by providing residents of Gaza with Starlink internet access. They request, "Show us your human side, Elon. Prove that our criticisms of you are unfounded by taking this singular action".

Starlink is a satellite system in development by SpaceX. It currently comprises over 5,000 satellites, with a goal to ultimately include 12,000 devices. Per Elon Musk's plans, Starlink should provide quick and dependable internet access worldwide, including to locations suffering from a connectivity void due to unsuitable telecommunication infrastructure.
