Annabel Giles passes away at 64
The Welsh television presenter and actress, Annabel Giles, has passed away a few months after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. The unfortunate news was shared with the media by her family.
"Our mother was diagnosed with stage four glioblastoma, a fast-growing and aggressive malignant brain tumor, in July," wrote Molly and Ted, children of Annabel Giles, on Instagram.
"In the next four months that followed, she demonstrated remarkable resilience and strength despite undergoing brain surgery and multiple radiotherapy sessions. Recently, she passionately devoted her time to raising awareness about glioblastoma multiforme, embodying her lifelong commitment to helping others," wrote her grieving family.
Annabel Giles was familiar to TV audiences in the UK from shows such as "Have I Got News for You" and "Shooting Stars". She was also affiliated with BBC Radio 4, and in 2013, she participated in the reality show "I'm a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!". Aside from her broadcasting career, she was a model and a novelist.
Her acting credentials include a role in "Firelight" alongside Sophie Marceau and appearances in the drama "Riders", the TV series "Chuck Finn", and a few other smaller projects. Recently, Giles took a step back from the entertainment industry to retrain and begin her new career as a career advisor and a psychotherapist.
