Angelina Jolie's private life is definitely not a bed of roses. The actress has been in a legal battle with her former beloved, Brad Pitt, for years, and in tough times, she cannot rely on her dad's help. Let's recall that the movie "Maleficent" star cut off contact with her father, Jon Voight, many years ago after he left her mother for a younger lover. A considerable obstacle in rebuilding the relationship with his daughter could also be the conservative viewpoints of the 85-year-old, a declared fan of Donald Trump.
Angelina Jolie has no contact with her father. Jon Voight criticizes the actress again
Over the decades, Jon Voight and Angelina Jolie have often exchanged biting remarks in the media and haven't spared each other any criticism. In mid-June, the 85-year-old actor congratulated his daughter and granddaughter on winning four Tony Awards for the musical "The Outsiders," admitting that he "is proud" of Angelina and Vivienne. However, it seems that this is where his kindness ends. In his latest interview with "Variety," the "John Paul II" movie star criticized Jolie for her stance on the Israel-Hamas war.
She has been exposed to propaganda. ... She’s been influenced by antisemitic people. Angie has a connection to the U.N., and she’s enjoyed speaking out for refugees. But these people are not refugees, the 85-year-old stated.
Voight expressed similar sentiments about his daughter last November, shortly after the conflict erupted. He posted his statement as a video on Instagram.
I’m very disappointed that my daughter, like so many, has no understanding of God’s honor. God’s truths. This is about destroying the history of God’s land, the Holy Land. The Land of the Jews. This is justice for God’s children of the Holy Land. The Israeli army must protect thy soil, thy people. This is war. It’s not going to be what the left thinks, it can’t be civil now, Voight said.
