Joe Biden stated briefly "Don't" on Friday when asked about a possible attack by Iran on Israel.

US President Joe Biden conveyed a brief message to Iran, who had threatened military action against Israel. The American president said "Don't " on Friday in response to reporters' questions.

"We are devoted to the defence of Israel. We will support Israel. We will help defend Israel. And Iran will not succeed," added Biden.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressed a similar sentiment on Wednesday evening, affirming after speaking with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant that the United States stands alongside Israel amidst any threats from Iran.

Attack from Lebanese territory on northern Israel

On Friday evening, in the northern regions of Israel, over 40 rockets were fired from Lebanon. The Israeli army responded to the shelling and issued an official statement on the matter via its social media channels.

"Approx. 40 launches were identified crossing from Lebanese territory, some of which were intercepted. The IDF Aerial Defense Array successfully intercepted 2 Hezbollah explosive UAVs that crossed from Lebanon into Israeli territory earlier this evening," the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) informed in a statement.

The shelling from Lebanon occurred at a time when US authorities were anticipating that an Iranian attack on Israel might unfold in retaliation for a strike on an Iranian facility in Damascus, as reported by CBS News on Friday, citing two administration officials.

According to Washington, Iran may initiate an attack utilizing more than a hundred drones and dozens of missiles.
