Alpina's new GT series debuts with powerful, elegant upgrades

More sophisticated and stylistically subdued, much rarer than the standard BMW M, and now surprisingly powerful—Alpina has just unveiled three intriguing models marked with the letters "GT."

B3 and B4 are well-known models to Alpina fans. The first can be purchased as a sedan or a touring body, while the second is a four-door coupe. All are compelling alternatives to the BMW M series. Now, they come with an added boost.

The lineup debuts with the GT version, offering an additional 34 HP. This means the three-liter, twin-turbocharged six-cylinder now generates 529 HP—19 HP more than the standard M3 or M4.

This package will appeal to those who appreciate a more subtle design. Unlike the M3, the B3 has no prominent grille; this feature is reserved for the B4.

We should also appreciate the unique color scheme based on green or navy blue and the distinctive spoke-pattern wheels. The finish does not disappoint either; noble leather, aluminum, and tasteful stitching are standard.

The icing on the cake is the stunning performance. The B3 GT sedan accelerates to sixty in just 3.4 seconds, while the Touring and B4 Gran Coupe need only 0.1 seconds more.

Deliveries of the new Alpinas in the GT variant will start in November 2024. Enthusiasts are unlikely to be in short supply.
