Media in Malaysia reported on the tragedy that occurred on Friday, September 27, in the state of Sarawak. A giant alligator tragically attacked a family relaxing by the water. The target was the 6-year-old Cecelia, who at one point disappeared underwater.
At the same time, the girl’s grandfather and sister were present and witnessed the attack. Unfortunately, the man's quick reaction could not prevent the tragedy. Emergency services were called to the scene, and they began searching for the alligator.
Experts from the Sarawak Forestry Corporation searched the river for a while, ultimately capturing two gigantic alligators. They were so large that cranes and tow trucks had to be used to remove them from the water.

The captured reptiles were gutted, and one of them was initially identified as the possible perpetrator of the tragic death of the 6-year-old girl. Inside the gigantic alligator, human teeth and bones that could belong to the missing Cecelia were found.
This is not the first instance where alligators have been responsible for human deaths. A month ago, a similar incident occurred in Indonesia, where a 54-year-old woman fell victim to a reptile. As a man who witnessed the attack said, only her legs could be seen being pulled underwater.
