Alfa Romeo reveals surprise with new SUV 'Milano', set for a 2024 launch

The latest and smallest SUV by Alfa Romeo has been named 'Milano'. Built on a shared platform with the Jeep Avenger and Fiat 600, it is anticipated to roll out of the Polish factory in Tychy.

The Italians have officially validated the name, which is a nod to one of the most renowned cities in Europe and the birthplace of Alfa Romeo. This is evident even in the brand's logo. Nonetheless, the name 'Milano' marks a clear departure from previous SUV names, which drew inspiration from mountain passes.

A detail of greater significance than the naming is the premiere date. As it turns out, the vehicle is set to debut in April 2024. Much like its siblings, Milano will be available with a 1.2 combustion engine and as a 172-horsepower electric vehicle.
