A shooting incident
According to NBC news, a judge from Montgomery, Alabama, is critically injured following a shooting incident on Saturday, reportedly carried out by his son. The son, who was previously convicted in 2014 for shooting another individual, is alleged to be the shooter, according to authorities.
"Judge Hardwick was involved in a domestic incident with his son and suffered serious injuries from a gunshot wound," Assistant Chief Wesley Richerson told The Post.
The cause of the "domestic incident" remains unclear, yet detectives quickly identified Khalfani Hardwick—a murderer who avoided prison for a murder committed ten years ago—as the suspect behind the shooting.
This is not his first case
According to the New York Post, In 2014, Khalfani Hardwick admitted to second-degree assault charges for shooting Clayton Riley, a family friend, in the head but did not serve any time in prison. Before his appointment to the circuit court in 200, Johnny Hardwick held various roles at the federal, state, and city levels in Montgomery.
