Actress Shannen Doherty shares her resilience against cancer in latest interview
Featured on the latest issue of "People" magazine, actress Shannen Doherty talks candidly about her cancer journey and being diagnosed with bone metastases. "I'm not done with life yet," she affirms.
Shannen Doherty has gained fame from several TV shows and movies; however, her most popular role was Brenda in the cult TV series "Beverly Hills, 90210". Eight years ago, the actress revealed that she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, Doherty has undergone a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy.
Back in 2017, Doherty happily announced her cancer was in remission. Unfortunately, the tranquility was short-lived as she recently disclosed the recurrence of cancer, revealing she now has brain metastases. The actress is now battling stage four cancer, the most critical stage.

In spite of the grim disease, the 52-year-old keeps in touch with her over 2 million social media followers. Doherty openly shares her daily experiences and her ongoing battle with cancer. Undeterred from participating in various projects, Doherty tries to retain an active lifestyle, confirming this attitude during a conversation with "People".
"People presume that because of my illness, I cannot walk, eat, or work. There is an assumption that the younger ones are finished. But we are not. We adopt a different approach to life. We're individuals who immerse ourselves in work, make every moment count and are ready to keep marching forward. We're the ones who can work tirelessly because we value each second, hour, every day we have. It might sound cliche and odd, but I'm now more conscious of everything and feel blessed," she expressed during the interview.
In conversation with the magazine, the actress discussed her ordeal with cancer and the recent diagnosis of bone metastases but remains positive and resilient.
"I don't want to die. I'm not finished living yet. I haven't had enough love, creation or chance to make things better. I simply haven't. I'm not done yet," she shares.
