On Friday (May 17), Israeli army soldiers found the bodies of three Israeli hostages. Hamas killed all during the October 7 attack.

As reported by the American news agency Associated Press, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called these deaths "heartbreaking."

The bodies of the hostages were found at night

A photo of the semi-naked contorted body of 22-year-old Shani Louk on the back seat of a pickup surrounded by smiling fighters resonated widely around the world. It became a symbol of Hamas's brutality.

The army identified the other two bodies. They belong to 28-year-old woman Amit Buskila and 56-year-old man Itzhak Gelerenter. All three were killed during the massacre at the music festival in Re'im. More than 360 participants were killed there.

According to the credible information that we’ve gathered, Shani Louk, Amit Buskila and Yitzack Gleren-ter were murdered by Hamas while escaping the Nova Music Festival on October 7th and their bodies were taken into Gaza. They were celebrating life in the Nova music festival and they were murdered by Hamas. – said military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari at a press conference.

The bodies were found at night in Gaza. The military did not provide details about where exactly they were located. Currently, Israel is conducting operations in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, where it claims to have information about hostages being held.

The war has been ongoing since October 7

On the morning of Saturday, October 7, 2023, fighters of the Islamic organization carried out terrorist attacks on Israeli civilians. They killed about 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and kidnapped about 250 others. Since then, about half of them have been released.

Israel claims that around 100 hostages are still being held in Gaza, along with the bodies of around 30 more. According to health officials in Gaza, since the war began, over 35,000 Palestinians have been killed, including nearly 100 journalists and over 200 humanitarian organization volunteers.
