A tank from the World War II. Ukrainian soldiers know what to do with it

Soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have shown a captured BS-100 cannon with a caliber of approximately 0.118 inches. Such equipment was used during World War II. How will it serve now?

The Soviet hollow field and anti-tank gun BS-100 with a caliber of approximately 1.18 inches was mass-produced from 1944 to 1951. Even in the 60s, this equipment was used with great effectiveness, but now they have been withdrawn from use by most users. However, on social media images of soldiers from the Ukrainian Armed Forces with such artillery have appeared.

The evidence that this cannon can actually be used in battles with invaders, is especially demonstrated in a picture with a new or well-preserved approximately 4-inch projectile that one of the soldiers is holding. This cannon itself was photographed in a properly equipped field position. You can see the photos on the X service (former Twitter).

Artillery from another era

The first time this type of weapon was used in warfare with Russia was at the beginning of 2023 by the State Border Service of Ukraine. However, at this point, it's hard to say whether the BS-100 will become a permanent feature in Ukraine's defense forces. Even a single appearance of this type of equipment may indicate that every weapon and piece of equipment is worth its weight in gold.

The BS-3 is a gun used to eliminate targets with indirect fire within a range of approximately 12.9 miles and a rate of fire of 8-10 shots per minute. The combat weight of the artillery is approximately 4 tons and it must be manned by 7 people.
