The trails lead to Tehran

Groups conducting attacks are supported by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

- We consider the perspective of escalating actions from groups led by Iran - said Pentagon spokesman General Pat Ryder. - We invariably reserve the right to defense and will not hesitate to take action when it will be necessary to protect our forces and interests - he added.

Blinken warns Iran

On Tuesday, the head of American diplomacy, Antony Blinken, addressed the issue of attacks on US bases in the Middle East at the UN Security Council forum.

- The United States is not seeking conflict with Iran. We don't want this war to escalate. But if Iran or its supporters attack American personnel anywhere, let no one be under any illusions: we will defend our people. We will defend our security swiftly and decisively - guaranteed by the head of US diplomacy.

He also called on other countries to curb the actions of the Iranian regime aimed at expanding the war in the Middle East and to threaten Iran with consequences if it decides to do so.

- Act as if the safety and stability of the entire region and beyond depend on it because that is indeed the case - said the head of US diplomacy.
