The incident occurred on October 19 in San Rocco al Porto in Italian Lombardy. As reported by the local newspaper "Il Piacenza", a 60-year-old driver, while leaving the store, lost control of the vehicle and drove into a ditch.
There would be nothing strange about it, if it wasn't for the fact that he was traveling in one of the most expensive Ferraris in history. The 275 GTB is a model that had just under 500 examples. Today, the better-kept ones can be worth over 3 million dollars.
Based on the photo from the scene, the car is likely repairable, although the process will certainly cost a significant amount of money. It's possible that the most damaged parts are those that are not visible, such as the suspension and engine bottom.
Not just any either, because under the hood of the 275 GTB you'll find a 3.4 quart V12 that generates up to 316 HP. It's an engineering masterpiece that still impresses with its performance today. Unfortunately, such cars are not the easiest to drive, as a 60-year-old driver painfully found out.
