Great Britain is one of the countries whose authorities have clearly sided with Israel in fighting against Hamas militants. In support, they decided to divert two ships to the eastern parts of the Mediterranean Sea. We checked exactly which units they were.

As support for Israel, the RFA Argus and RFA Lyme Bay were prepared, which will become part of the coastal reaction group. The RFA Argus was recently stationed in Gibraltar and the RFA Lyme Bay near the English Channel. The British Ministry of Defense confirmed the movement of ships to the eastern regions of the Mediterranean Sea.

As added, the crew has already received the necessary supplies, delivered by Airbus A400M. It is a military transport aircraft. The United Kingdom has 22 such machines.

The latest analyses have shown that the UK has been neglectful in its dealings with armored vehicles and is struggling with a shortage of tanks. However, few countries can match it in terms of its navy, with nuclear deterrent ships and many other powerful units.

RFA Argus and RFA Lyme Bay are ships of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, a support fleet for the Royal Navy. Their task is to "enhance stability in the region and provide contingency options". Both measure over 574 feet in length. They can be used for transport, coastal operations, and in the case of RFA Lyme Bay, also for amphibious assault.

They are armed, carrying on board among other things, Phalanx CIWS artillery systems for combating enemy units at short distances and 0.3 in caliber machine guns, as well as decoy systems. They also have a space that can be used for receiving helicopters, they are adapted among others. to CH47 Chinook and AH-64 Apache.

Earlier from the UK, there were reports that Rivet Joint aircraft would be sent to assist Israel. These are some of the most advanced spy aircraft in the world used for photographic and electronic reconnaissance. They are over 131 feet in length and about 128 feet in wingspan. They have four engines that can develop speeds of nearly 621 mph. At the same time, their pilots can ascend to a height of nearly 39,370 feet.

The Mediterranean Sea is teeming with NATO ships

Similar support, although on an even larger scale, was provided to Israel by the United States. They sent to the Middle East, among other things, two aircraft carriers - USS Gerald R. Ford and USS Gerald R. Ford. These are the largest vessels of this type in the world, accompanied by other ships forming naval battle groups.

Besides, Americans regularly send planes and fighters, including F-15E Strike Eagles, to the hot region.
