A low‑altitude Russian helicopter causes panic, flying over a beach

A Russian Ka-52 Alligator helicopter flew at a low altitude over a beach near Tuapse in the Krasnodar Krai region of Russia, reportedly "ruining tourists' vacations." "Umbrellas and sun loungers hurriedly left the beach, unlike the tourists, who pulled out their phones," writes SMN Russia.

The recording appeared on social media on Thursday evening (ET). It shows the Ka-52 Alligator helicopter flying in from over the sea. Surprised Russians initially filmed the entire incident. A moment later, when the machine is over the beach, a strong gust from the rotor causes chaos.

"Umbrellas and sun loungers hurriedly left the beach"

"Umbrellas and sun loungers hurriedly left the beach, unlike the tourists, who pulled out their phones," writes the Russian channel SMN Russia. The video clearly shows the commotion caused by the machine.

The helicopter "ruined tourists' vacations. Vacationers were in shock," writes the Strela channel. It is not known why the machine appeared in this region. Media inquiries have been directed to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Another such incident

This is another incident involving this type of helicopter in this location. At the beginning of July this year, a Russian Armed Forces military helicopter flew over the Agoy beach, also near Tuapse. The machine flew just above the vacationers' heads.

"Some vacationers had mixed feelings after such a show," writes Telekanal Krasnodar.

The Ka-52 is a Russian two-seat attack helicopter designed in 1987 in the Soviet Union. It is also known by the codename Alligator.
