A closer look at Haaland's hair raises alarm bells

Scientists from Stockholm have expressed concern over the potential for Erling Haaland, the Manchester City striker, to find himself without hair. They have issued him a stark warning.

Erling Haaland, a celebrated Manchester City player, is recognized not only for his incredible soccer prowess but also for his distinctive looks. His long hair, usually tied in a ponytail, has almost become a signature statement. However, according to a Swedish dermatologist, this unique style may pose a significant risk.

The Associate Professor, Taavi Kaaman from Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, raised his concerns in "Expressen" after examining the player's photos.

"He ties his hair too tightly which causes tension on the hair follicles, especially during play when his hair gets heavy from sweat. The follicles could start failing to withstand the force due to running, sharp movements and headshots", he explained.

The diagnosis is startling: the beginning stages of traction alopecia, a form of hair loss due to pulling. This condition could lead to permanent hair loss, according to the dermatologist. The Swedish expert emphasizes that Haaland must change his hairstyle soon to prevent further damage.

Despite these warnings, Haaland's hairstyle has garnered a fan following. The player's hairstyle is regarded as a "carefully crafted image" by "Min Mote", a Norwegian fashion magazine. Haaland has been humorously likened to a "comic book superhero, a brave Viking, or a blonde-haired ninja", adding to his appeal in the advertising and marketing world.

Interestingly, images are already surfacing online that speculate on Haaland's possible "bald" look. A TikTok clip depicted Manchester City soccer players in unexpected guises.
