When the heart feels it, there's no room for doubt. A$AP Rocky admitted in an interview with a "W Magazine" journalist that he had long had a premonition that Rihanna would one day be the mother of his children. According to the rapper, it was obvious to both of them from a young age, but the real connection only happened when they matured and reconnected.
"I knew from when we were younger. We both did, I think. So it was only right when we got older. We just kind of reconnected," said Rocky. This pivotal moment occurred around 2019 or 2020.
The rapper loves the big foreheads of his sons and wife
A$AP Rocky and Rihanna are the parents of two sons: Rza, born in 2022, and Riot, who came into the world in 2023. Rocky shares insights about his children's personalities in the interview, noting how different they are.
"I think Rza is going to keep to himself. He’s an introvert. Riot’s an extrovert—he’s just like his mom," said the rapper, highlighting that their older son is more like his father while the younger one has the energy and openness of his mother.
"Rza is more so like his dad, like me. And he’s my twin. He got his mom’s forehead, but he got everything else from me. I love my boy’s big forehead! I loved it on his mother," Rocky laughs, referring to a part of his 2015 song "Jukebox Joints," where he mentioned a similar feature of Rihanna.
Relationships between the little A$AP's
In the interview, A$AP Rocky did not hide his pride in the way their sons' relationship is developing. Though Rza is more reserved, he slowly opens up to his younger brother, Riot. "Riot looks up to RZA. I think RZA's warming up to Riot," revealed the rapper, emphasizing how important family bonds are to him.
During the conversation, he also showed the journalist a video of his older son, Rza, sitting on the floor and hugging Rihanna, surrounded by a pair of shoes. This family life scene illustrates their everyday closeness.
Not only was the interview special, but also the photo session accompanying the article in "W Magazine." Rihanna, who took the cover photo herself, not only photographed A$AP Rocky but also posed with him for several shots. The photographs capture the closeness and intimacy between them and their unique style.
