According to an announcement from the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine on Telegram, an inquiry is underway into the brutal actions of military personnel during the delivery of a summons in Odessa.

Investigation into military brutality underway

The investigation is centered around a video that was posted online on multiple Telegram channels on November 14. The clip shows civilians interacting with soldiers and members of Ukraine's security services. Witness accounts suggest the man was knocked to the ground, handcuffed, and forcibly put into a vehicle. This aggressive behavior was reportedly a response to his refusal to accept the military service summons.

Recurring issue of military brutality in Ukraine

"A number of urgent investigative actions have been undertaken in response to this incident, including interviewing witnesses and all event participants. Relevant video footage and administrative documents have been confiscated," states the official report.

The investigation is examining the potential abuse of power by military personnel and law enforcement officials. This is not an isolated case in the country. Similar investigations into military brutality are in progress in other areas, including the Lviv, Kherson, and Kyiv regions.
