North Korea's deployment to Russia may escalate Ukraine conflict
The General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine announced on Friday the initiation of an investigation to determine whether North Korea's support for Russia in the war constitutes an act of aggression. The day before, Ukrainian intelligence reported that the first soldiers from North Korea had already been sent to the Kursk region in western Russia.

Representatives from the prosecutor's office told Reuters that North Korea, by arming Russia and providing ground forces for combat against Ukraine, may face charges. They added that the office has already begun gathering evidence in this case.
On October 24, Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR) announced that the first soldiers from North Korea had already been sent after training in Russia to the Kursk region in the west of the country. Since August 6, Ukrainian troops have been operating in this region.
Kim's soldiers support Russia
According to South Korean intelligence, North Korea has sent about 3,000 soldiers to the Russian Far East, and by the end of the year, this number is expected to increase to 10,000. The U.S. and some EU countries have confirmed these findings.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, warned that sending North Korean soldiers to the front would be "the first step to a World War" and called on the West for a decisive response.
Meanwhile, NATO warned that if North Korean soldiers join Russian forces in Ukraine, this could mean an escalation of the war.
