The Incident:

After completing a patient transport mission to Oklahoma City, the Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter, a Bell 206L-3, was returning to its base in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Around 11:23 p.m., the aircraft crashed near Hydro, Oklahoma, approximately 63 miles west of Oklahoma City.

Response and Investigation:

After the crash, Air Evac Lifeteam focused on supporting the families and team members affected by this tragedy. The names of the victims have been withheld to respect their privacy and that of their families. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has taken charge of the investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
