According to the "Daily Mail," the sisters met for the first time in 2021 when they noticed an uncanny resemblance to each other online. After conducting a DNA test, it was revealed they were identical twins, and their families confirmed they had been separated at birth. Initially, their relationship blossomed with joy and enthusiasm, and their story quickly gained popularity in China, attracting media and online attention.
Due to the growing interest in their story, the sisters decided to embark on a joint business venture in the e-commerce industry, hoping for success due to their unique connection.
Unfortunately, their collaboration did not last long, as tensions quickly arose between them, leading to numerous conflicts. Differences in their work approach and visions for the future caused the relationship, which was supposed to be the start of a new chapter in their lives, to devolve into a series of misunderstandings.
The twins severed contact
Keke accused Li of leaving live broadcasts without warning and disappearing for several days. "She never said anything when she left, and I could never find her. That's not the kind of work attitude I like," said Keke, as quoted by the "Daily Mail."
Li, in turn, blamed Keke for the failures in their business, claiming they lost about $84,000. "So I told her directly that I wouldn't be doing live-streaming with her anymore," Li stated.
After their unsuccessful online venture, Li opened a shop in her hometown of Dengfeng. Keke came to support her, but the conflict worsened, especially around management and finances. In January 2023, there was a final confrontation, after which Keke severed contact with Li. According to the "Daily Mail," since then, the sisters have not maintained any relationship.
