Putin's midnight Kremlin arrival: Sign of a shifting strategy?

Russian propagandists have reported that "despite the rain and puddles," the convoy of Russian leader Vladimir Putin unexpectedly arrived at the Kremlin at 2:10 PM Eastern Time. "Usually, this is a sign that something significant is happening," notes a journalist from "Kyiv Post."

Many reports by Russian media or government representatives are elements of propaganda. Such announcements are part of the information war waged by the Russian Federation.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin arrived at the Kremlin in the middle of the night, according to footage published by the Kremlin-linked channel "You've Listened to the Lantern." The authors remarked that the convoy reached the leader's residence at 2:10 PM Eastern Time "despite the rain and puddles" and adverse weather conditions in Moscow.

Is something significant happening?

"Usually, this is a sign that something significant is happening. Perhaps he has realized that he is losing and will lose in Ukraine?" suggests "Kyiv Post" journalist Jason Jay.
The reason for Putin's unexpected appearance at the Kremlin remains undisclosed. According to unofficial information, the leader is expected to meet with the president of Azerbaijan on Monday.

Putin returns to previous lifestyle

Meanwhile, "The Moscow Times" reports that Putin has reverted to the lifestyle he maintained before the election campaign. "He has ceased leaving the Kremlin and his residences," the agency observed after reviewing the leader's work schedule.

Over the past two weeks, Putin hasn’t arranged a single visit. For context, there were 100 such visits from the beginning of the election campaign to April 20.

From February 17 to March 17, Putin participated in 31 events outside the Kremlin and his residences. In the last week before the elections, he remained at the Kremlin or in Novo-Ogaryovo, known as "the royal village."
